MULTI-LANGUAGE CATALOGUE SYSTEM

This case study explores the development of a multilingual website with an advanced catalog system for a global circuit board manufacturer. The manufacturer, serving clients across North America, Europe, and Asia, required a web solution that not only facilitated access to product information in multiple languages but also provided technical specifications for a diverse product range.

Our team’s main goal was to create a high-performance, multilingual website that catered to engineers, procurement teams, and manufacturers needing detailed, accurate information in their preferred language. To achieve this, we integrated a powerful translation management system (TMS) that enables seamless updates across languages, including English, Chinese, and Cantonese. The multilingual interface detects user location to suggest a language, while also allowing users to switch languages manually. For this technical industry, precise and culturally adapted translations were critical, so we collaborated with native-speaking technical translators to ensure terminology accuracy.

The catalog system was designed to showcase hundreds of circuit board models, each with specific technical details. Users can browse, search, and filter products by categories like board type, material, and application. Each product page provides in-depth specifications, such as layer count, thickness, thermal resistance, and compliance standards, ensuring potential customers have all necessary information at hand. To facilitate purchasing decisions, downloadable datasheets and 3D product visualizations were added.

Optimized for both desktop and mobile, the multilingual catalog offers an intuitive experience with a clear layout and easy navigation. The CMS enables the client’s team to update product details and language content with ease, ensuring all information remains current across regions. The result is a user-friendly, technically detailed website that meets the global client base’s needs, enhances brand visibility, and supports the company’s growth in international markets by providing a reliable, accessible online resource for diverse technical audiences.
