Who is Phenomenon Consulting?

We are a humble boutique design agency that specialises in web design and web development. We have been around for about a good five years, but all our consultants and team members are well experienced to handle projects big and small.

What's Phenomenon's specialisation

Our forte is web design and development, advocating the use of content management systems. The one we work best on is WordPress although if you require specific needs, we are able to explore if we are the right people to help you. Whether it is just a brochure landing page, showing off your projects and portfolio or a full-fledged e-commerce platform, we have the right people and experience for the project.

One other thing we do extremely well is optimising websites that will rank well on Google search engines.

Where do we start?

As we move towards the digital age, we hardly meet any of our clients face-to-face. You can either email us at hello(at), drop us a message via our contact page, or call one of our regional phone lines and we will get in touch with you at the earliest possible time. From which, we usually follow a flow:

  • Gathering information and defining the scope
  • Developing a scope of work agreement
  • Sign off (electronically) and deposit payment (well, usually 50%)
  • A draft concept for approval. This will include landing page and 1-2 other pages depending on the scale of the project. (up to 3 rounds)
  • All content including copywriting and digital imagery to be provided by you
  • Work on completion for remaining pages and functions for approval.
  • Migrate files to your server, balance payment to be made.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and signing off for completion.
  • Release to “live”.

We can communicate via email, text, phone calls, video calls, skype.

There are also circumstances where clients insist on a real-life meetup. It’s rare, but we will try to accommodate that as well.

Who are our clients?

We work best with SMEs (small medium enterprises) consisting of 2-20 people. The key industries we specialise are consulting businesses, architects & interior design, healthcare, logistics and F&B.

Apart, we have long-standing relationships with some of the biggest brands in the world and region. These includes Mitsubishi Electronic, Tourism Australia, WE Communications, Savills,Hitachi and Teka just to name a few.

Do we do work out of our own markets?

Despite operating primarily in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Zhuhai, we work well on projects and with clients from everywhere.

To-date, the markets which we have completed and deployed our projects in includes Shanghai, Dubai, Hong Kong, Bali, New Jersey, London, Yangon, Shenzhen, Perth, Bangkok and Hanoi.

There's a pitch?

Unfortunately, we do not involve ourselves in design pitches. This is a belief that is stuck with us since day one.

We believe our precious time should be spent on improving and optimising paying clients’ work and reinvesting in our team and resources.


Do you do simple websites?

Despite the fact we like to challenge ourselves in providing automation and transforming a complex process to a simple solution, are also extremely pleased to just do something that is simple, quick and effective for our clients.

Can you handle a complexed website design?

We don’t believe anything is too difficult for us and we believe a good round of consultation is also necessary to define your requirements. Most of the time, we are able to quickly simplify this “complexed” website idea into something much simpler than you thought. Scribble it on a piece of paper or powerpoint and drop us a message so we can take the discussion further.

What kind of websites do you do?

We specialise in Content Management Systems (CMS) that empowers end-users to self update content whenever they want. Our main platform is WordPress but if you have some other preference, we are able to handle as well.

If you don’t ever need updating, we can build it on good ol’ HTML to have the website perform better speed-wise.

I need a website, but I do not have any content?


We work with some of the best writers in the industry. Just provide us with an outline of what you want to communicate and our content developers will do the rest for a reasonable fee.


Depending on your budget allocation, we have a range of solutions that are able to fulfill your needs. From stock image libraries to award-winning photographers. You name it.

Is the website SEO optimised?

All the websites we deliver are SEO-ready.

They are visible on search engines and should be picked up easily. However, if you require specific keywords to be ranked, we can offer such services based on what you need.


How much do we charge?

I am a company based in Singapore, do I qualify for any government grants?

A lot of our clients benefit from grants from the Singaporean government to cover their website design or website revamping costs.  You can check the IRAS website for more information about PIC and Spring website for CDG (Capability Development Grant).

What are the payment terms?

We collect an upfront 50% of the project fee upon confirmation of the project.

Depending on the scale of the project, we either collect a lump sum for balance payment upon delivery of the project or split the payments according to the various stages of the project.

What are the payment methods?


We accept local and international TT to any of our main bank accounts based in Singapore, Malaysia or China.


We accept PayPal payments for clients based out of the markets we operate in. Please specify if you wish to use this payment method.

AliPay / WeChat Pay

For clients based in the Greater China region, AliPay and WeChat Pay is also welcome.

GST registered?

We are NOT GST registered at the point of time you are reading this.

Do I need to sign a service agreements?

Once the scope of the project has been finalised, we will prepare an electronic service agreement. We will just require your digital signature. This digital contract is legally bound in most countries. If you are unsure if your country’s legal system supports electronic agreements, feel free to contact us.


Can I update my own website after you are done?

Yes, you can!

Our websites all come with a user-friendly interface. We also provide a documentation and training to make sure you are comfortable editing your website.

However, it does not mean that you have to do it! Your time is precious and you may find it more useful to spend it interacting with your customers and growing your business, instead of updating your website. In that case, you can sign on to our PhenoCare programme. Through PhenoCare, we take care of all your content changes for you (post news on your website, edit its content, create new sections, add new photos, videos…) usually within the next business day.

Do you offer maintenance services?

We provide annual technical maintenance services for all websites we develop. This technical maintenance is extremely important as it ensures that your website is secure and bug-free.

Your contract covers:

  • Backups and bug fixing throughout the year
  • We monitor your website 24/7 and are able to take action within minutes of any major issue
  • Quarterly update and upgrade of your website components
  • Full testing in major browsers and screen-sizes after each upgrade
  • Full security review every month

Do you offer ad-hoc website updates?

We offer ad-hoc website updates based on the following conditions:

website developed by us: S$50 an hour (number of hours will be agreed on prior to commencement)

website NOT developed by us: S$100 an hour (number of hours will be agreed on prior to commencement)
