Bio Ray Motor Oil is a fast expanding lubricant product based in South East Asia that requires a regional website that communicates its product benefits and also attract talents to its expanding team. The requirements for their website is based on two main major priorities: A product catalogue module and ability to toggle languages for different region users.
During preliminary stages, we sat through with the client on deciding the platform and content management system (CMS) the website would be using, all its critical features and also content architecture and planning. Due to the complexity of its approval process and company hierarchy, we also recommend the project to be split into two phases, allowing the project to be launched in time for their product and marketing activities, fully maximising time usage.
The Bio Ray regional website will also allow talents from various markets and countries to view its available career options and job openings available within the organisation.
With the consolidated requirements and understanding what the client require, we finally settled on using a WordPress system. The WordPress is a user-friendly, feature-packed open sourced CMS that empower users with little or no website design knowledge with the ability to self-update content. By building various modules including the product catalogue module and WPML on WordPress, we fulfill the needs of the Bio Ray regional website. Further careful and detailed customisations to the modules are also required to ensure they fit what Bio Ray required.
Other value-added services including the aid of setting Google Analytics tracking device to monitor marketing success of the website was also rendered. The first phase was completed within six months and subsequent features and modules were all launched within 12 months of the project. Today, Bio Ray operates in both Singapore and Malaysia with presence in Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines.
